Television host and podcaster Joe Rogan is "genuinely concerned" about mysterious drone sightings in the US tristate area. On Sunday, he shared a video on X featuring John Ferguson, CEO of a remote aircraft system company, discussing the issue.

"This is the first video about these drones that has got me genuinely concerned." Rogan wrote on X sharing the video alongside.

In the viral video, Ferguson claimed the drones might be "smelling" for gas leaks, radioactive materials, or other substances.

Rogan previously called the government's explanation "sus." White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby had assured the public there was no safety threat, saying many sightings were actually manned aircraft.

The sightings began when a New Jersey officer reported around 50 drones "coming off the ocean." The drones emitted no heat signatures and were hard to detect.

The sightings have since spread to 12 New Jersey counties, eastern Pennsylvania, and parts of New York.
