Jill Jacobson, the film and TV actress best known for her roles in Falcon Crest and Star Trek: The Next Generation, has passed away on December 8 in Los Angeles. She was 70 years old.

Her death was confirmed by her manager Ben Padua and by her publicist Daniel Harary who said she died after battling "a long illness."

"We are incredibly sad to say goodbye to our beautiful, soulful, hysterically funny, elegantly raunchy client, Jill Jacobson," Padua said in a statement.

Jacobson began her acting career after earning a B.S. in Radio, TV, and Film Performance from the University of Texas at Austin. Her first role was the lead in the 1977 horror film Nurse Sherri.

She gained prominence on TV with recurring roles as Erin Jones in Falcon Crest and Larue Wilson in The New Gidget.
