Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Details Leak

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Details Leak, Suggests Limited Wireless Charging Features

HELSINKI (AP) — New details about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 smartphone series suggest the flagship devices may not fully embrace the latest wireless charging standard, according to documents published by Finnish mobile carrier SuomiMobilii.

The leaked information reveals storage configurations across the S25 lineup, with the Ultra model offering options up to 1 TB. The base S25 will come with 128 GB or 256 GB storage, while the S25+ will offer 256 GB or 512 GB variants.

Perhaps most notably, the carrier’s documentation lists several official cases, including a “magnet case” for the devices. Industry analysts suggest this indicates the phones themselves may lack built-in magnets required for the new Qi2 wireless charging standard, which is based on Apple’s MagSafe technology.

While the current Galaxy S24 already meets some Qi2 requirements, such as the 15W minimum charging rate, the apparent need for a magnetic case suggests Samsung’s 2025 flagship may not fully integrate the new charging standard’s complete feature set.

The Galaxy S25 series is expected to launch in early 2025, though Samsung has not officially confirmed any specifications or release dates.

The documentation also reveals several other case options, including standing grip, silicone, rugged, and kindsuit variants, indicating Samsung plans to maintain its broad range of protective accessories for the new series.
